The Charlevoix-Emmet Intermediate School District serves a consortium of Great Start Readiness Programs (GSRP) throughout the ISD. These programs are funded through the Michigan Department of Education and provide free preschool for eligible children four years of age. The ISD serves as the fiscal and administrative agent through the following activities:
- Submission of the grant application and all required reports
- Provision of an Early Childhood Specialist
- Assistance with enrollment
- Opportunities for Professional Development
Who Do We Serve?
Great Start Readiness Programs are located both in local school districts as well as community based programs throughout the Charlevoix, Emmet and northern Antrim counties.
