Char-Em ISD provides valuable assistance to our local school districts that in turn support students and families.

While many of the ISD’s programs serve students directly on a day-to-day business, others work “behind the scenes” to support learning. Business Services staff manage bookkeeping, payroll and other daily business needs for a number of local districts; the ISD’s technology team keeps many local districts’ technology and student reporting operations functioning seamlessly; communication services staff create eye-catching posters and materials for teachers to use in the classroom, while assisting districts with communications to parents and the community.

Char-Em’s Instructional Services Department delivers critical literacy coaching to local districts’ elementary school teams. School improvement guidance and data analysis help our local districts be the best they can be for students. Professional learning opportunities are coordinated throughout each school year and summer to help educators and administrators stay on top of the latest trends and skills needed to help their students shine.

Char-Em ISD’s District Support Services are integral components of the daily successes of classrooms throughout Charlevoix, Emmet and northern Antrim counties.
