Charlevoix-Emmet Intermediate School District provides programs and related services to over 1,300 students with disabilities. Special education staff provide services in various locations throughout the Char-Em ISD. An array of instructional programs and support services are offered to students with disabilities, from birth up to age 26, in collaboration with local school districts, public school academies, and non-public schools. Diagnostic services, direct service identified in individual education program plans, consultation with general and special education providers, and the operation of special schools and programs are some of the services provided by Char-Em ISD.
