The goal of Char-Em ISD Behavioral Health is to partner with local schools and community agencies to identify and support the behavioral, social and emotional needs of students and their families. This includes increasing awareness and working to improve mental health resources and programs that are whole child centered and inclusive.
We believe that supporting social and emotional wellness of students helps build the foundation for success, well-being, and positive relationships throughout life. By making social and emotional wellness a priority, schools can create a nurturing and supportive learning environment that contributes to improved attendance, student engagement, academic success and students’ overall well-being.
