Data Integrity Team established

In response to district requests for support to ensure data accuracy, a five-person, multi-department, collaborative Data Integrity Team was developed at Char-Em ISD.  The purpose of the team is to provide district and building data entry specialists with the information and processes necessary to ensure high quality data integrity that supports using data for high-stakes decision making.

The first meeting in August attracted nearly 40 participants from districts who learned about PowerSchool tips and tricks. At the request of participants, the second meeting, held on the afternoon of Nov. 1, focused on count day data collection processes. In addition to intended learning outcomes, these workshops have provided secretaries and others doing data entry work a mechanism for building a support network of same-role peers across districts.

Char-Em ISD’s new Data Integrity Team plans to continue its support of data entry specialists with future learning opportunities, a newsletter, and one-on-one coaching support. If you know of someone not currently attending who would like to participate, or if you have a related topic you feel would be important to share, please contact Julie Bergmann, Stevie Baker, or any of the team’s current members: Carissa Wolgamott, Linda Stachler, or Johnathon Wert.
