Career Vehicle Day

Career Vehicle Day

Our Mission Statement

It is the mission of Charlevoix-Emmet Intermediate School District to provide leadership and services to local school districts.

It is the vision of Charlevoix-Emmet Intermediate School District to be an indispensable partner with every district we serve.

When kids have the chance to see vehicles up close and even sit in the driver’s seat, interests are piqued and future career aspirations come to mind! Career Vehicle Day is an opportunity for students in grades K-6 to explore a variety of vehicles related to specific careers.

If you are interested in bringing your business or organization vehicle to a Career Vehicle Day event, please contact Kelly Johnson or Tory Thrush at (231) 582-8070.

A Career Vehicle Day event took place most recently at East Jordan Elementary School in late May 2019.

The vehicles involved were from: East Jordan Fire Department; Mobile Digital FAB LAB / North Central Michigan College; East Jordan Plastics, Inc.; Michigan State Police; Charlevoix County Animal Control Division; and East Jordan Police. 60 third-graders participated in the event, which was coordinated by Char-Em ISD CTE Department and the elementary school counselor in East Jordan.
