Engagement by design allows educators to improve results in literacy, writing, and mathematics, with highly effective instructional strategies they can implement immediately.

This event is grounded in Weston Kieschnick’s work, which honors both learner needs and teacher wisdom in equal measure. At the heart of the session is a long-overdue clarification of what student engagement actually looks like and, more importantly, the actionable role teachers play in creating it. Rather than leaving engagement to chance, educators gain clarity, alignment, and ownership over the conditions that drive curiosity, participation, and perseverance.

Educators will leave not just inspired, but equipped with a clear plan for designing learning experiences that invite thinking, elevate student voice, and increase purposeful struggle across content areas.
