Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) has many connections to the Essential Instructional Practices in Early Mathematics. The purpose of this workshop is to deepen our understanding of Cognitively Guided Instruction research foundations while developing our practice to better listen and respond to children’s mathematical thinking.
