Learning by Hearings

Learning by Hearings

Offered in collaboration with the Levin Center for Oversight and Democracy at Wayne State University Law School, this training will feature resources from the Center’s Learning by Hearings program, supporting the development of inquiry-driven, civically engaged, and literacy-rich classrooms. The session will emphasize three core instructional pillars: inquiry-based learning, civic engagement, and disciplinary literacy. Educators will leave with access to research-backed resources and practical tools to deepen student understanding, encourage critical thinking, and cultivate active, informed citizenship. Participants will also engage with curriculum-aligned materials and explore collaborative strategies to implement these approaches effectively in their own classrooms.
