English Learner (EL) Low Incidence Collaborative
The English Learner Low Incidence Collaborative is designed to empower educators and staff with the tools and strategies needed to effectively support the academic, social, and emotional needs of EL students. This program provides opportunities to learn, share best practices, and network while addressing key areas such as the home language survey, EL evaluations, the new Language Assistance Program (LAP) template, and changes for the upcoming year. Additionally, the collaborative focuses on using WIDA standards, implementing SEL programs tailored to ELs, and promoting behavioral health, family wellness, and a sense of belonging. Future sessions will explore academic supports, instructional strategies, professional development, family engagement, and overcoming barriers to success. Together, participants will develop practical solutions and resources to enhance outcomes for English Learner students.
