Book Study – The Illustrated Guide to Visible Learning 2026

In this online book study, participants will engage with the book The Illustrated Guide to Visible Learning and dive more deeply into John Hattie’s high-impact instructional strategies. Through their reading, educators will develop a greater understanding of effect size and be better able to accelerate student learning. Educators will experience a blended, self-paced course and have a chance to extend their learning through ‘application’ activities to earn up to 12 SCECHs.
This is an online, self-paced course.
A link with directions to enroll in Canvas will be provided by the course instructor through email at a time closer to the book study start day.
Learner Outcomes
Educators will identify and summarize at least three key strategies from the book The Illustrated Guide to Visible Learning for redesigning lessons, courses, and instruction.
Educators will reflect and explore new strategies that they can utilize in their school role.
Educators will have a greater understanding of effect sizes and be able to implement instructional strategies to accelerate student learning.
