Learn practical, easy-to-implement literacy strategies for preschool children!

Participants will add to their repertoire of practices that promote literacy for preschool age children in their individual settings whether it is at home, in a community-based center or in a preschool classroom. The literacy knowledge and skills developed in the preschool years predict later literacy achievement. Let´s work together to promote the next generation of readers, writers and thinkers.

The 10 essential practices have been outlined by Michigan´s Early Literacy Task Force in an effort to increase Michigan´s capacity to improve Children´s literacy.

Participants are asked to register separately for each session they are available to attend.

Those who complete all eight sessions will receive a certification in the Essential Instructional Practices in Early Literacy.
