What
is this service?
Local and intermediate school districts in Michigan
are responsible for accurately recording all eligible
student memberships in order to receive proper
funding. Char-Em ISD's pupil accounting officer
is responsible for auditing school district membership
counts to ensure accuracy.
Who
do we serve?
Char-Em ISD provides this service to all public
schools and public school academies within
the Char-Em ISD. Currently
Char-Em ISD services eleven local public school
systems and three public school academies.
How
do we serve?
The
pupil accounting officer:
- provides
training to school officials regarding requirement
and procedures that are necessary for accurately
reporting student membership counts.
- assists
schools in transmitting membership data to Lansing
- performs
mandatory auditing in each school district to
ensure accurate data as defined by Michigan's
State School Aid Act
