What
is this service?
In 1984, the Charlevoix-Emmet Intermediate School
District and the Cheboygan-Otsego-Preque Isle
Reginal Educational District formed a consortium
for the purpose of Providing Academnics Cost Effectivley
(PACE) via distance learning. Since that time,
PACE has evolved into the regional educational,
community and government access channel.

do we serve?
21 school districts within the service area of
the Charlevoix-Emmet Intermediate School District
and the Cheboygan-Otesego-Presque Isle Reional
Education District plust the communities in which
these school districts are located
How
do we serve?
PACE has the capability of providing the following
services:
- K-12
Classes via a wireless, interative distance
learning system (ITFS)
- College
courses via a digitally compressed interative
system (CODEC)
- Teleconferenefces
thorugh the state and country via the CODEC
- Satellite,
downlinked televonferences and programing
- Internet
service provider (ISP) for employees of the
school districts
- Interative
computer labs between school districts
- 24-hour
per day programming over the community access
channel
- locally
produced television shows
