Dear Educators:

We are pleased to present the Professional Development offerings for all school personnel throughout Charlevoix-Emmet Intermediate School District. Topics to be covered during the 2007-08 school year were selected largely from input from local school improvement plans, State of Michigan initiatives, and requests from local schools.

You are invited to participate in these offerings, which have no registration fee to educators within the Charlevoix-Emmet ISD service area. These are valuable opportunities for individual teachers or teams of educators who wish to support student learning, and enhance instructional skills. All workshops provide new learning opportunities and a chance to interact with colleagues from northern Michigan.

In addition to the Professional Development Sessions noted in this brochure, Char-Em ISD will periodically work with subject area teachers to facilitate collaboration across grade and subject level teacher groups during the year. These collaborative "work group" sessions will be publicized as dates and topics are finalized.
