Charlevoix-Emmet ISD believes that professional development should be a continued process for learning, sharing and growth. A variety of professional development offerings are provided by Char-Em ISD to support school improvement goals, educational initiatives and teacher development. Topics for these offerings are aligned with the Michigan School Improvement Framework, determined by the collective needs of our local school districts, and focused on research-based best practices.
All school personnel throughout Charlevoix-Emmet ISD have the opportunity to participate in professional development offerings throughout the school year, during the Area Wide Professional Development Day in the Fall, and during the Summer Leadership Institute in August.
NEW ONLINE REGISTRATION / PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM
Charlevoix-Emmet ISD is excited about the implementation of Coursewhere, a new professional development system for registering, tracking, and reporting professional development activities offered through Char-Em ISD. Coursewhere is a user-friendly, accurate registration process that will not only provide up-to-date program information, but will also allow educators to view and track the trainings they have completed.
