The function of Char-Em ISD’s Media Center (REMC 2 North) is to provide curriculum enhancers and instructional materials such as educational videos, DVDs, and visual aid equipment for teachers, administrators, and staff in the eleven school districts that Char-Em ISD serves.  The Media Center also provides services such as laminating, and VHS, CD, and DVD duplication.
The Regional Educational Media Center (REMC) Association of Michigan (REMCAM) is “an organization committed to providing media and technology resources to Michigan’s students and teachers”.  Char-Em ISD’s Media Center (REMC 2 North) is a part of REMC 2 which also includes REMC 2 Central (Traverse Bay Area ISD) and REMC 2 South (Wexford-Missaukee ISD).

Route Mail Schedule:
North Route...Monday and Thursday
(Alanson, Harbor Springs, Pellston, and Petoskey)
South Route...Tuesday and Friday
(Boyne City, Boyne Falls, Central Lake, Charlevoix, East Jordan, and Ellsworth)
REMC 2 Central & South Route...Wednesday
(Traverse Bay Area ISD and Wexford-Missaukee ISD)

Can I Check Out Materials?
The answer is yes! District educators can check out media resources through the Media Center's Web/Max online catalog system. Video Projectors, Digital Camcorders, and Sony Mavica Digital Cameras are also available for loan by district educators. (These items are not listed on Web/Max, but can be checked out by calling the Media Center.)
For access to Web/Max, please contact your school's librarian or call Carissa Wolgamott at 231.582.8063 for a username and password. Once you have this information, click on the Web/Max button at the top of the page to access the online catalog system.
