The Char-Em ISD Instructional Services Department offers a variety of programs and services designed to support student achievement, enrich the total educational process, as well as aligning these activities with local and ISD school improvement goals and priorities.

Each service focuses on the need to assist and enable local constituent districts with the issues of:

  • school restructuring and/or improvement to address school improvement goals
  • curriculum and assessment development services
  • improvement of instructional practices for teachers, directors, and administrators to enhance student achievement
  • understanding and addressing new legislation and guidelines
  • enhanced specific curricular area awareness and expertise through consultation
  • early childhood education
